About our Projects

Projects

One of the core activities within the programme is to carry out collaborative research, development, demonstration, and deployment projects. The activities are now called Projects, formerly known as Annexes. These projects are undertaken on a combination of cost-sharing and task-sharing basis by the participating countries.

It is the delegate of the country who decides if the country shall participate or not within a projects and the participating party can be an company or an research organization. The participating parties are responsible for obtaining national funding for its own work (task-sharing basis). One person is appointed to oversee the projects as the Operating Agent, and the cost of the Operating Agent’s work in managing the projects is shared among the participating parties through the operating agent fee.

Most projects run for a limited duration, with objectives ranging from information exchange to the development and implementation of new technologies.
