Reducing Carbon Emissions with Heat Pumps The UK potential

This report provides the results of a quantitative assessment for the UK of the equivalent CO2 emission reduction potential of electric heat pumps in replacing gas boilers in buildings. The report focuses on the commercial/institutional building market. The time frame of the study is 2000 to 2020. The information in the report provides energy and environment policy makers with useful insight that may help in developing policies and actions aimed at achieving UK commitments to the Kyoto Protocol.
