Ground-source Heat Pump Systems Case studies

Ground-source heat pumps take advantage of the almost constant temperatures of the earth below the surface sub-layer, collecting heat from the earth during the heating season and transferring heat from the building to the earth during the cooling season.

The HPC project ‘Successful heat pump installations – dissemination of example projects’ focused mainly on ground-source heat pumps. Success examples of ground-source heat pump installations are described, including seven applications in residences and seven in commercial buildings.

This report is of interest to every individual who wants to explore the possibilities of using ground-source heat pumps.
