Application of Heat Pumps in Industry
This report contains the result of a study regarding the application of heat pumps in industry. It is limited to countries which are members of the Heat Pump Center of the International Energy Agency. The goals of this study are threefold. First an overview of present applications of heat pumps in industry is given, identifying those sectors and processes in which heat pumps have had some success. Second, a study is made of the economics of heat pumps in which the influence of the major parameters determining their economic success is brought forward. Finally, an overall analysis of the most important industrial sectors is undertaken in order to determine their potential market for heat pumps.
