Ab-sorption machines for heating and cooling in future energy systems – workshops USA, Italy

Thermally activated systems are of major importance in the areas of refrigeration, air conditioning and heating with respect to energy savings and environmental protection. Annex 24 of the IEA Heat Pump Programme, "Ab-Sorption Machines for Heating and Cooling in Future Energy Systems", aims to examine the various factors that influence the market for absorption machines. An important element of Annex 24 work is the organisation of workshops. These Proceedings report on the last two Annex meetings. They give a broad international overview of the situation in different countries via country reports, including several case studies.
