International Heat Pump Status and Policy Review

The task “International heat pump status and policy review” assesses basic factors affecting heat pumps, policy measures regarding heat pumps, the status of various heat pump technologies and the current and expected penetration of heat pumps in all market sectors. The reports are a valuable resource to both industry and governments.

 

Two editions of the Heat Pump Status and Policy Review have been published, covering 1989-1992 and 1993-1996 respectively. The second edition also includes 1997 data, where available. The report reveals that, in general, the heat pump market developed favourably during the years reviewed.

Scope

The Status and Policy Review 1989-1992 covered 27 countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Greece, Germany, Israel, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, UK, USA.

 

The Status and Policy Review 1993-1996 focused on only 18 countries: Austria, Canada, China, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Norway, South Africa, South Korea, Spain Sweden, Switzerland, UK, USA.
Both editions consist of two parts:

  • Part one, where information from all these countries is brought together, compared and analysed
  • Part two, containing detailed reviews of the situations per country (National Position Papers)
