{"id":2017,"date":"2026-02-06T14:04:09","date_gmt":"2026-02-06T14:04:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/heatpumpingtechnologies.org\/project68\/?p=2017"},"modified":"2026-02-06T14:04:09","modified_gmt":"2026-02-06T14:04:09","slug":"project-68-presents-at-the-hthp-symposium-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/heatpumpingtechnologies.org\/project68\/project-68-presents-at-the-hthp-symposium-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Project 68 presents at the HTHP Symposium 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"container container--no-margin\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph \">IEA HPT Project 68 had a strong presence at the <a href=\"https:\/\/hthp-symposium.org\/\">High-Temperature Heat Pump (HTHP) Symposium 2026 in Copenhagen<\/a>, where industrial heat pumps took centre stage in the discussion on industrial decarbonization.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"container container--no-margin\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph \">During the opening session,\u00a0<strong>Martin Pihl Andersen (DTI)<\/strong>\u00a0presented the newly released\u00a0<strong>y<\/strong>early analysis report from Task 1\u00a0and the latest\u00a0update of the international database of high\u2011temperature heat pump technologies and demonstration projects. The results confirm that more suppliers, higher temperatures and larger capacities are rapidly becoming available \u2013 and that real industrial projects are scaling up across sectors.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"container container--no-margin\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph \">On the second day,\u00a0sector collaboration was in focus.\u00a0<strong>Florian Schlosser (University of Paderborn)<\/strong>\u00a0introduced the Project 68 sector collaboration activities and invited stakeholders to join upcoming work. Three parallel workshops then dived into concrete industrial sectors:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"container container--no-margin\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Chemicals<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 facilitated by\u00a0<strong>Fraunhofer IEG<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pulp &amp; paper<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 facilitated by\u00a0<strong>DLR<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Textiles<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 facilitated by\u00a0<strong>DTI<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"container container--no-margin\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph \">In each workshop, end-users, technology suppliers, researchers and consultants jointly discussed barriers, opportunities and concrete actions for high\u2011temperature heat pumps in their sector \u2013 from process integration to skills and collaboration models.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"container container--no-margin\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph \">The insights from the symposium will feed directly into\u00a0<strong>Project 68\u2019s technology tracking (Task 1)<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>sector collaborations (Task 2)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"container container--no-margin\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph \">The Task 1 report and the updated database are available on the\u00a0Project 68
