Join the online IEA HPT TCP National Experts meeting on the 15th of October 2024, 13-16 CEST – register now!

The Technology Collaboration Programme on Heat Pumping Technologies (HPT TCP) by IEA will organize an online National Experts meeting on October 15 (13:00-16:00 CEST). The purpose of the National Experts meeting is to discuss new ideas and proposals for new international collaboration projects (annexes) within the HPT TCP, in line with the Strategic Work Plan 2023-2028 of the HPT TCP. Our aim is to bring together national experts representing different stakeholders in the member countries and engage in an ideation process.

The agenda for the meeting will include a brief update on new international collaboration projects (annexes) in the pipeline and existing ideas and proposals that are currently under discussion and development within the HPT TCP. Part of the meeting will be allocated to an ideation process for the generation and development of new ideas. A detailed agenda will follow shortly.

The preliminary agenda for the workshop is given below:

  • Introduction
    • Welcome & Update on the revised Strategic Work Plan 2023-2028 for HPT TCP (Caroline Haglund Stignor from RISE/HPC, Sweden)
  • Update about new projects (annexes) in the pipeline and already existing ideas and proposals
    • Project 66 “Optimal Heat Pump Design and Operation for Broader Acceptance” – New Project (former Annex) – Riley Bradley Barta from Purdue University, USA
    • Digital services for heat pumps (legal text approved) – Bernd Windholz from AIT, Austria
    • Industrial High-Temperature Heat Pumps – Martin Pihl Andersen from DTI, Denmark
    • Flexibility from centralized heat pumps in thermal networks and industrial hubs or from coordinated operation of distributed heat pumps – Morten Herget Christensen from DTI, Denmark
    • Heat pumps for hydrogen and carbon capture – Veronika Wilk, AIT, Austria
    • Follow-up on Annex 62 Heat Pumps for Residential Multifamily Buildings in Cities – Kyra Sophie Rimrodt from Fraunhofer-Institut, Germany
    • Enhanced miniaturized components – tbd
    • Comfort and Climate Box solutions for cooling and dehumidification – tbd
    • Advanced vapor-compression and non-vapour-compression technologies for heating, cooling, and refrigeration – tbd
  • Brainstorming/Workshop, suggestion of new Project/Annex Topics

  • Conclusion of the meeting
