Completed Annexes

HPT TCP has been active since 1978, with a lot of collaborative research, development, demonstration and deployment projects. We call these projects "Annexes" and they are conducted on a combination of cost sharing and task-sharing basis by the participating countries. Here you can read about the finalized projects, from 1989 to this present date.

Start date:
End date:

Quality Installantion/Quality Maintenance Sensitivity Studies

It is widely recognised that residential and commercial heat pump equipment suffers significant performance loss (i.e. decreased capacity and efficiency), depending on ho…

Annex

35

Start date:
End date:

Application of Industrial Heat Pumps (IHP)

Objectives The objective of the Annex was to reduce the use of energy and emissions of greenhouse gas emissions by the increased application of heat pumps in industry,…

Annex

34

Start date:
End date:

Thermally Driven Heat Pumps for Heating and Cooling

The goal of Annex 34 was to reduce the environmental impact of heating and cooling by the use of thermally driven heat pumps. It was based on the results from Annex 24, …

Annex

33

Start date:
End date:

Compact Heat Exchangers in Heat Pumping Equipment

This Annex was directed at widening the use of compact heat exchangers (CHEs) in heat pumping systems. The Annex wanted to show that these can improve efficiencies, min…

Annex

32

Start date:
End date:

Economical Heating and Cooling Systems for Low Energy Houses

This Annex investigated different configurations of integrated multifunctional heat pump systems for space heating, DHW production, space cooling, ventilation and de-/hu…

Annex

31

Start date:
End date:

Advanced Modeling and Tools for Analysis of Energy Use in Supermarkets

Supermarkets are the most energy intensive buildings in the commercial sector. It has been estimated that 3-5 % of the total use of electricity stems from supermarkets in…

Annex

30

Start date:
End date:

Retrofit Heat Pumps for Buildings

The market potential of heat pumps for retrofitting existing buildings is much larger than in new buildings. However, the heat pump market in existing buildings today is …

Annex

29

Start date:
End date:

Ground-Source Heat Pumps Overcoming Market and Technical Barriers

The Annex investigated ideas and, depending on climate and application, identified systems that could improve performance and market attractiveness of ground-source heat …

Annex

28

Start date:
End date:

Test procedure and seasonal performance calculation for residential heat pumps with combined space and domestic hot water heating

The Annex investigated the testing of the most common combined heat pump systems with heating of domestic hot water by desuperheating subcooling of the condensate cascade…

Annex
