Open deep dive session: Enabling HVAC Circularity with the CE-RISE Project
You are invited to an open online deep dive session, organized under the framework of the IEA Project 65: Heat Pumps in a Circular Economy. During this session, some of the activities and findings from the CE-RISE project will be shared. The session will be presented by Jahanzeb Tariq from Viessmann and will take place on February 25th, 2025, from 15:00 to 16:00 CET.
This session will provide insights into the challenges and opportunities of integrating circular economy principles into the HVAC industry. Heat pumps, as complex products composed of thousands of components and involving numerous suppliers, require effective collaboration between upstream and downstream supply chain partners to establish a circular value chain. The CE-RISE project emphasizes the importance of material recovery, take-back systems, and enhanced cooperation.
The HVAC industry has faced disruptions in recent years, including material bottlenecks and changes in regulatory frameworks, but these challenges have also opened pathways for climate-friendly solutions and the development of circular business models. This deep dive session will explore these dynamics and highlight the role of circular practices in fostering sustainability within the sector [CE-RISE].
