We are excited to invite you to contribute to our structured session as above at the upcoming Forum Acusticum Euronoise 2025 in Malaga, Spain, 23rd to 26th June 2025.
As the world rapidly transitions to more sustainable heating and cooling solutions, heat pumps are becoming increasingly prevalent in our communities. However, this shift brings new acoustic challenges that demand innovative solutions. Your expertise in this field would be invaluable to our session, which aims to address these critical issues and shape the future of residential acoustics. Our session will explore a comprehensive range of topics, including:
- Airborne sound characterisation of heat pumps
- Structure-borne heat pump noise transmission in buildings
- Psychoacoustic and soundscape approaches to heat pump noise assessment
- Predictive tools for heat pump noise propagation
- Best practices in heat pump planning and installation
- Real-world case studies highlighting both successes and challenges
By participating, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Share your cutting-edge research and insights with a global audience of acousticians, urban planners, and industry professionals
- Contribute to the development of quieter, more neighbourhood-friendly heating and cooling solutions
- Engage in interdisciplinary discussions that bridge environmental noise, HVAC systems, building acoustics, and psychoacoustics
- Help shape policies and practices that will influence the future of sustainable urban living
Your contribution will be crucial in advancing our collective understanding of heat pump acoustics and in developing practical solutions that balance decarbonisation of heat and energy efficiency with acoustic comfort. We believe your work would be particularly valuable to our attendees and could significantly impact the field.
We warmly invite you to submit an abstract of no more than 200 words by 19th January, 2025, through the Forum Acusticum Euronoise 2025 website: https://www.fa-euronoise2025.org . Upon acceptance, full papers will be due by 23rd March 2025.
We look forward to the possibility of your participation in this important session. If you have any questions or would like to discuss your potential contribution, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Thank you for considering this invitation. We hope to see you in Malaga next June!
Yours faithfully,
