Task 4: Definition and Testing of Heat Pump Specifications
Most large-scale heat pumps are sold based on a guaranteed COP that is to be obtained in the final application for specified operating conditions. There is no generally acknowledged standard for the specification of the performance requirements and the operating conditions at which the specifications are to be demonstrated.
Therefore, the aim of Task 4 was to outline guidelines and recommendations for defining heat pump specifications and performance, as well as for testing and validating this performance. The main results of the report are three sets of guidelines which are summarized below:
- Guideline for Definition of Heat Pump Specifications
- Guideline for laboratory testing conditions
- Guideline for site testing
