{"id":106,"date":"2016-08-30T14:31:59","date_gmt":"2016-08-30T14:31:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/heatpumpingtechnologies.org\/annex51\/?page_id=106"},"modified":"2020-05-05T15:36:38","modified_gmt":"2020-05-05T15:36:38","slug":"home","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/heatpumpingtechnologies.org\/annex47\/","title":{"rendered":"Home"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"container container--no-margin classic-editor\"><strong>Start date:\u00a0<\/strong>January 2015<\/p>\n<p><strong>End date: <\/strong>December 2018<\/p>\n<h3>Objective<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #454545;\">The objective of this annex is to gather information and ideas for policy makers and decision makers and planners of energy systems in urban areas concerning the possibilities and barriers related to the implementation of heat pumps in DHC systems<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #454545;\">One objective will be to suggest how heat pumps can be implemented in both new and old district heating systems in the best way. The different types of integration will be described. The differences and possibilities in integration in both central and local systems will be described.<br \/>\nThe possibilities of increasing a larger share of renewable energy or using excess heat in the different systems by using Heat Pumps will be a focus area. Minimizing the system losses by using Heat Pumps will also be an objective.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #454545;\">Existing projects where heat pumps are integrated in district heating systems will be described and evaluated for each participating country.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #454545;\">The market potential and economic opportunities will be evaluated and described for each participating country<\/span>.<\/p>\n<h3>Project manager and participating countries<\/h3>\n<p>Participating countries: Austria, <strong>Denmark<\/strong>, Switzerland, Sweden, the United Kingdom. Denmark\u00a0is operating agent.<\/p>\n<h3>Activities<\/h3>\n<p>The Annex has been structured into the following tasks:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Task 1. <span style=\"color: #454545;\">Market and energy reduction potential<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Task 2. <span style=\"color: #454545;\">Description of existing DHC systems and demonstration and R&amp;D projects with heat pumps<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Task 3. <span style=\"color: #454545;\">Review the different concepts\/solutions<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Task 4. <span style=\"color: #454545;\">Implementation barriers, possibilities and solutions<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Task 5. <span style=\"color: #454545;\">Dissemination<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Publication and result<\/h3>\n<p>The main deliverables of this annex are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I<span style=\"color: #454545;\">nternet website, the HPC website will be used to give up date information regarding the progress in the annex. Including task reports.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #454545;\">Progress Report to the IEA Heat Pump Programme four times annually for publication in the Newsletter<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #454545;\">Annual report to the IEA Heat Pump Programme, and ExCo describing the progress in the project<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #454545;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/heatpumpingtechnologies.org\/publications\/heat-pumps-in-district-heating-and-cooling-systems-2-page-summary\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">A 2 page popular scientific summary<\/a> of the Annex results to disseminate freely<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #454545;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/heatpumpingtechnologies.org\/publications\/heat-pumps-in-district-heating-and-cooling-systems-final-report\/\">Final report<\/a> of the Annex according to the template.
